With the continuous support from NAMA Foundation, the Development Centre named, Ala-Too Foundation has launched a huge campaign during the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign is divided into 3 interventions that involved health, education, and social sectors. This engagement is fully funded by NAMA Foundation.
Ala-Too started the distribution of 350 tons of food supply to the needy families. Each food baskets contain 20 kg of flour, 5 kg of pasta,3 kg of rice, 3 kg of sugar, 3 liters of cooking oil, and a tea pack. The first distribution was implemented in the presence of the Minister of Social Affairs and Media.
Ala-Too has also started the distribution of 200 laptops to 57 schools in Kyrgyzstan. Ala-Too organised an event in Bishkek City, the capital of Kyrgyzstan as the headstart of the distribution in the presence of the Minister of Education, a Commissioner from the Ministry, and also from the media. The foundation has invited only 11 schools to the event and those schools are located in Bishkek and Chuy regions. The other remaining 46 schools which are located in the other 6 regions of Kyrgyzstan could not attend the event as there is a lockdown to move between the regions. NICE Kyrgyzstan and Ala-Too have received a permit from the authority and will be visiting those regions and organised similar events in the presence of the Head of Education Department of each region and School Directors. They will deliver the laptops starting from today onwards, In Shaa Allah. This engagement will take approximately a week to completely delivered to all our beneficiaries.
