NAMA Foundation COVID-19 Intervention Program in Tanzania.

Today, May 26, 2020, marked the second day of the food distribution program in Tanzania. We have planned to distribute 25 tons to 5000 affected families. Today’s first batch of distribution was done in the morning. We have distributed 5 tons of food packages to 100 families. This will be followed by another distribution of 5 tons of food packages to 100 families later in the evening. Among the beneficiaries were the elderly people, the orphans, and their guardians, as well as the widows and their families, who have received this support of 50 kg worth of food packages for themselves to sustain during this pandemic effect.

The event that took place in the morning was officiated by Hon. Mketo; The Toangoma Ward Councilor sent his notes of appreciation and thank you to NAMA Foundation for its continuous support to Tanzanians thus far.

This program is fully funded by NAMA Foundation and executed by local partners; An-Nahl Trust, NICE Tanzania, and UKUEM Zanzibar
