Rohingya Education Intervention is NAMA initiative to support the educational needs of Rohingya refugees in Malaysia. The project implemented through a collaboration network of NGO in Malaysia (HALUAN) who work together with the Rohingya refugees. For 2019, NAMA and HALUAN continues in supporting Rohingya Community Educare Centre (RCEC) located in Seri Kembangan and has accommodated about 75 Rohingya children from the aged of 5 to 13 Years old. Other than offering the Rohingya children to get access for school, RCEC also offer the programme such as English Class, Parenting Programme, Teacher Training as well as Vocational Training to the Rohingya Community. By the end of 2018, NAMA together with HALUAN managed to implement a project called a Motivational Camp for Rohingya Children’s in Malaysia. The Project were successfully implemented in 6 states in Malaysia focused for Pahang, Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Penang and Kuala Lumpur. This project is to create the awareness for Rohingya community and also in collecting the data about the Rohingya settlements in Malaysia.
