Activities in most CSOs globally are project-based since these are temporary interventions to fulfil community needs. The projects in the third sector are usually complex social, economic and physical interventions in which outcomes are difficult to measure. When the projects involve multiple stakeholders from different countries or cultural backgrounds the complexity increases. These are only some of the challenges commonly faced in running projects in the third sector and the list goes on. Fortunately, project managers in the third sector have an option to break the cycle – by adopting the recognized project management standards.NAMA Foundation and our partners have adopted the Project Management for Development Professionals (Project DPro) by PM4NGOs (https://www.pm4ngos.org/) in 2018 and we have seen tremendous improvement in the delivery of our projects since then.In this first edition of NAMA Talk 2021, we are proud to bring Mr Shahriar Khan and Sister Siti Maisaroh from the Game Changer and Human Initiative respectively, who will be sharing their thoughts and experiences in the area of project management in the third sector. If you are working in (or for) the third sector, this is for you. And even if you are not managing projects at the moment, this can be a good introduction to the field listed as one of the ten sought after jobs by LinkedIn.You are invited to a Zoom webinar. When: January 27, 2021 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM (Malaysia Time)Topic: NAMA Talk – Managing Projects in the Third SectorRegister in advance for this webinar:https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_c-bR02gVSASrvAypuQ7KTgAfter registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.Webinar Moderator and Speakers:Zulfirdaus Bin Abu Hassan (Head of Program Department @NAMA Foundation)Shahriar Khan (Managing Director @Game Changer Training and Consulting Ltd)Siti Maisaroh (PMD Pro 2 Certified @GM Program Management – Human Initiative)See you there!
